why we chose maui

When we first set foot in Maui this past June, we were swept away by the island’s beauty and spirit. It felt as if time slowed, and we had stumbled upon our own hidden corner of paradise. The warmth wrapped around us like an embrace, the beaches called our names, and in that moment we found ourselves falling even more deeply in love—with life, and with each other.

The aloha spirit in Hawaii is more than a greeting—it’s a way of life, rooted in kindness, love, and a deep sense of connection to people and place.

After years of waiting for the right moment, it felt only natural that this sacred place, where land meets sea in such harmony, would be where we begin the next chapter of our journey together.

our tips

Book early
June is popular in Maui—lock rooms as soon as you can for better pricing.

Parking
Four Seasons is a valet only resort, consider ride share if you prefer.

Maui weather
June is warm and breezy. Light, breathable clothing, a swimsuit or two, and don’t forget reef-safe sunscreen as the UV index is very high. Evenings can be cooler by the ocean, so a light layer is handy.

Island Time
Everything moves at a gentler pace here. Allow extra time for travel, dining, or excursions and enjoy the slower rhythm.

Snorkeling & Beaches
If you love the water, Maui has some of the
world’s most beautiful beaches & reefs.

Island Etiquette
Hawaii is deeply connected to its land and traditions.
A simple smile, “aloha,” or “mahalo” (thank you) goes
a long way.

Lei Etiquette
If you’re given a lei, it’s considered impolite to remove it in front of the person who gave it. Wear it proudly—it’s a gesture of love and welcome.

Time Zone
Maui is on Hawai‘i Standard Time (HST), which is several hours behind the mainland U.S. It’s a good idea to plan for a day of rest when you arrive, to adjust and ease into island life.

We know many of you are traveling far to celebrate with us in Maui, so your presence means the world to us and is all we ask for. If you'd still like to contribute to our honeymoon fund,
